A Summer holiday at Haus Wasserbauer ……

offers something for everyone from hiking and biking here in the Hochkönig, swimming in the local outdoor pool in Mühlbach*, visiting the Ice Caves in Werfen or simply relaxing in the Austrian sunshine outside Haus Wasserbauer.

Located in the traditional village of Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Haus Wasserbauer is situated at the foot of the Hochkönig massif with its limestone peaks reaching above 2,850m. This amazing landscape has created the perfect outdoor playground with something to suit everyone.

With 340km of hiking trails and with numerous mountain restaurants in which to refuel, the Hochkönig is a hiking paradise. Throughout the summer months, Childrens Activity Weeks are run by the tourist office in the village keeping your little ones entertained.  We are also a “Bergdorf der Tiere” mountain village of animals with petting zoos and open farms in and around the village for you to get to know our four legged friends

Muhlbach’s Copper Museum, Hallstatt, day trips to Salzburg, the Sound of Music Tour, Mozart’s birthplace, Hohenwerfen Castle (of where Eagles Dare fame!), the glacier at Kaprun or a visit to the Liechtensteinklamm are only a few of the unique and amazing sights to enjoy.
